Rampart 94, Air Academy 91
At Rampart: The Rampart boys’ swim team used its depth to remain undefeated in a narrow three-point 5A CSML win over Air Academy.
The Kadets earned seven first-place finishes, but Rampart placed multiple swimmers in the top three in eight events to award the Rams just enough to sneak by Air Academy.
Isaac Shyrock was a double winner for Rampart, claiming the 100 butterfly (55.93) and the 100 backstroke (1:02.39). Jacob Beineke won two individual events for Air Academy, winning the 50 and 500 freestyle races in 24.51 and 5:21.74, respectively.
Rampart’s Jack Evanitz touched the wall just .06 seconds after Beineke in the 50 free for second place.
The Kadets won both freestyle relay races and Jack Elbert won the diving competition.
Coronado 112, Fountain-Fort Carson 54
Air Academy 13, Lewis-Palmer 12
At Air Academy: Air Academy clinched game one of its final regular-season series in walk-off fashion thanks to a sacrifice fly by John Auther in the bottom of the eighth inning for a 4A/5A PPAC victory.
Josh Duenas led the Kadets with a pair of hits and three RBIs. Carter Wood and Auther had two RBIs each for Air Academy (8-10, 8-5).
Lewis-Palmer (10-8, 6-7) was led by Beau Gent who knocked in three runs, followed by Johnny Behm with two.
Of Air Academy’s 13 runs, only five were earned. Similarly, of Lewis-Palmer’s 12 runs, six were earned.
Pine Creek 12, Fountain-Fort Carson 0
At Pine Creek: Justin Olson hit two home runs as the Eagles extended their winning streak to 11 in a 5A CSML victory over Fountain-Fort Carson.
Evan Faucher and Jay Onken also hit balls out of the park. Onken also hit a triple on the way to a four-RBI day, and got the win on the mound through four innings of work. Faucher and Riley Cornelio had two RBIs each. The Eagles (16-2, 12-0) remain undefeated in 5A CSML with one conference game remaining.
Joseph Flores got the Trojans’ only hit of the afternoon. Fountain-Fort Carson is 8-8 and 4-5 in the CSML.
Falcon 10, Sand Creek 2
At Falcon: Falcon racked up 18 hits and its pitching rotation combined for a one-hitter in a Tuesday morning 4A/5A PPAC rivalry clash.
Kody Sellers, Conner Kessler and Darrian Escobar-Winter knocked in two runs each for the Falcons (10-7, 7-6). Escobar-Winter also tossed three innings and struck out five batters.
Aaron Torres fanned all three of the batters he faced in his one-inning outing, while Sellers threw three innings with one K.
Issiah Hernandez got the only hit for the Scorpions (2-16, 0-13).
Canon City 11, Mesa Ridge 9
At Canon City: After scoring six runs in the top of the fourth to earn a one-run lead, Mesa Ridge allowed Canon City to bring three runs across in the bottom of the fifth for a 4A CSML win.
Zac Hanenberg hit 3 for 4 with four RBIs for the Tigers (14-4, 6-1), while Kadin Porter and Lincoln Andrews batted in two runs each.
Tristan Beicker struck out six batters through three innings, but Andrews got the win on the mound through 1.2 innings of work, fanning three.
Mesa Ridge (7-8, 4-3) pitchers struck out six Canon City batters and allowed nine hits.
The Classical Academy 7, Woodland Park 1
At Woodland Park: Stephen Smith and Ethan Boyles knocked in three runs each for the Titans in a 4A CSML battle against Woodland Park (9-9, 4-4).
John Hoffman was credited with the Panthers’ only RBI.
TCA is 8-8 and 5-2 in league play.
Liberty 8, Doherty 7
At Liberty: Chris Smith, Sean Conboy and Martin Clift batted in two runs each as Liberty claimed a 5A CSML win in eight innings.
Spencer Flood and Danny Rice also had RBIs for the Lancers (6-10, 6-4).
Doherty is 6-13 and 3-9 in the CSML.

At The Classical Academy: It was a big night for TCA, which clinched the 4A CSML title, earned its ninth straight win in shutout fashion, and fifth 10-0 victory of the year.
Eight different scorers contributed to Tuesday’s win, led by Gracey Thompson and Talia Schmidt who had two goals each. Cali Schmidt, Shaela Leahy, and Kaylee and Rebecca Thompson each had a goal and an assist. Elena Munguia had two helpers for the Titans (11-1-2, 8-0).
Mitchell falls to 1-11 and 1-6 in league play.
Rampart 8, Coronado 0
At Coronado: Rampart extended its winning streak to nine games and clinched the outright 5A CSML title with a win over Coronado.
The Rams (12-1, 6-0) scored five goals in the first half, and added three more in the second on the way to their eighth straight shutout.
Coronado is 5-10 and 1-5 in league play.
Canon City 2, Widefield 0
At Canon City: Sammi Holt and Taylor Roberts scored for the Tigers in their fourth straight win.
Freshman Jordan Konty earned the shutout in goal for Canon City (10-4-1, 6-2 4A CSML).
Widefield is 5-9-1 and 4-4 in 4A CSML.
Manitou Springs 2, Fountain Valley 0
At Fountain Valley: Brooklyn Mack and Caileen Sienchnect scored for the Mustangs for their third straight win in a nonconference clash against Fountain Valley.
Alyssa Halladay had four saves in net for Manitou Springs (12-2) to register the shutout.
