It appears Olympic gold medalist and Coronado graduate Henry Cejudo has made a New Year’s resolution to share wrestling tips with, well, everyone.
Cejudo, in Colorado Springs for a couple weeks according to sources, posted a move on Instagram (henry_cejudo), describing it as “set-up spin hind.”
Not only does Cejudo explain the move in the description, but he also shows it on video.
“I will be showing more of my wrestling technique to you for my New Years (sic) resolution,” the post reads.
Cejudo has lost back-to-back fights in the UFC, though his most recent loss to Joseph Benavidez was controversial, as Cejudo was docked a point for low blows and many thought he deserved at least a draw if not an outright win.
Cejudo also posted a video and photos from Coronado High School on Thursday night, as he attended the Cougars’ wrestling win over Pine Creek.
One of the fighters traveling with Cejudo is Alexandre Pantoja, who was on TUF 24 as a fighter under Cejudo. Pantoja is scheduled to fight Jan. 28 at Pepsi Center in Denver on “UFC on Fox 23.”
No next fight for Cejudo, who won the gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Games, has been announced.
Donald Cerrone’s acting career expands
Donald Cerrone is already making a mark in acting with an upcoming role in Netflix’s soon-to-air series “Godless.”
Next up for Cerrone is a spot on next week’s episode of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.”
Cerrone, an Air Academy graduate, has had Rob McElhenney, creator of “Always Sunny” and who plays Mac on the show, on the “BMF Podcast,” which is filmed on location from Cerrone’s ranch in New Mexico.
Cerrone, according to IMDB.com, is in all six episodes of “Godless,” which is slated to run later this year.
