At Widefield: Reece Lieby tossed a five-inning perfect game, recording 12 of his 15 outs via strikeout for the Gladiators (9-8, 4-2). Brandon Parrott led the offensive charge, going 2 for 2 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Dylan Campbell added two RBI, and Isaiah Grima went 3 for 3 with a triple.

Cheyenne Mountain 16, Sand Creek 4, 5 inn.

At Cheyenne Mountain: The PPAC-leading Indians (13-3, 10-1) scored multiple runs in each inning in the run-rule victory.

Sophomore Cam Buckler and senior Chase McCleary each had two hits and three RBIs for the Indians. Freshman Brad Helton scattered four hits and a run over three innings with two walks and two strikeouts. 

Tyler Hallada and Ryan Scaggs each had two hits for the Scorpions (2-14, 0-11).

Woodland Park 6, Canon City 5

At Canon City: The Panthers (9-7, 4-2) scored the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh and kept the Tigers off the board to hand Canon City (13-4, 5-1) its first league loss.

Zac Hanenberg tripled and drove in three runs and Lincoln Andrews hit a solo home run for the Tigers.

Track and field

Coronado Cougar Invitational

At Garry Berry Stadium: Doherty’s boys captured the team title with a score of 91, comfortably clear of second-place Coronado’s 64. Hayden Martinez picked up the Spartans’ only individual win, running the 3,200 in 9 minute, 42.36 seconds. Doherty’s 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams also placed first, while the 4x200 squad was second.

Liberty edged Air Academy 82-71 for the girls’ team title. Katelyn McMoore doubled up for the Lancers, winning the 100-meter hurdles in 15.46 seconds and clearing 5 foot, 3 inches to take the high jump. Aliyah George won the 200 (25.04) and was second in the 400. Meg Tualamalii added a fourth individual event win for Liberty with a shot put of 38-10.

Girls’ Golf

PPAC No. 1

at Silver Spruce Golf Course: It was a sweep for Air Academy, as the Kadets won the team title with a score of 267, eight strokes clear of second-place Cheyenne Mountain. Discovery Canyon was third at 306, while Palmer Ridge, Lewis-Palmer, Vista Ridge, Falcon and Sand Creek filled out the team standings, respectively.

Isabella Deak captured the individual honors for the Kadets with a round of 78, beating Cheyenne Mountain’s Maxine Choi by a shot. Palmer Ridge’s Ashlee Sample (84), Discovery Canyon’s Christina Cheng (88) and Lewis-Palmer’s Kalai Hamlin (88) rounded out the individual top five.

Girls’ lacrosse

Liberty 10, Rampart 9

At Pine Creek: The Lancers (5-6) won the second half 6-4 to improve to 3-3 in league play. Senior Olivia McCrary and junior Camille Callahan scored three times apiece, while McCrary added an assist for Liberty. Liberty keeper Meagan Gehling made eight saves. Rampart drops to 5-8, 2-4.

Palmer Ridge 15, Cheyenne Mountain 11

At Cheyenne Mountain: The Bears led 8-7 at half and extended their lead behind seven second-half goals to improve to 7-7 on the year and 5-1 in league play. Nicole Beaulieu and Mallory Hybl scored three goals apiece for Cheyenne Mountain (8-4, 4-2).

Girls’ soccer

Liberty 10, Palmer 0

At District 20 Stadium: Sophomore Courtney Cowles recorded a hat trick and Amber Boains and Sydney Englekins each scored twice for the Lancers (4-6-1, 4-1).

Discovery Canyon 6, Vista Ridge 0

at D-20 Stadium: The Thunder (6-7, 2-4) scored three goals in each half for a comfortable win over the Wolves (1-10, 0-6).

Girls’ tennis

Fountain-Fort Carson 7, Pueblo East 0

At Fountain-Fort Carson: Eun Koak won 6-3, 6-0 and moved to 13-0 at No. 1 singles for the Trojans (5-5).
