Summit 17, Cañon City 3
At Cañon City: Summit tailback Jordan Sitkoske made his mark as a receiver and on defense to lead No. 10 Summit (10-1) to the road playoff win over the Tigers (9-2).
Sitkoske hauled in a 57-yard TD reception from quarterback Landon Greve to make it 7-0 at halftime.
Jeremiah Johnson kicked a 32-yard field goal for Cañon City early in the third quarter but the Tigers would get no closer after Sitkoske returned a Tiger fumble 69 yards for a score to make it 14-3 in the third.
"It was a pretty even game, but it came down to big plays," Cañon City coach Chris Koppa said. "They made some big plays. They played well."
Summit held Cañon City's 2,483-yard rusher, Damon McCain, to only 115 yards and no TDs, well below his 249-yard, three-TD per game average during the regular season.
"He ran tough," Koppa said.
Greve added a 22-yard field goal later in the third for the final margin.
