TCA kicker Carlson commits to Auburn

Daniel Carlson, one of the top kickers to come out of Colorado in recent years, has committed to Auburn. Carlson, the No. 6 in-state prospect in the Denver Post early recruiting rankings who will be a senior at The Classical Academy this fall, also held offers from LSU, Cal and Air Force.
Carlson has handled kicking duties for TCA, a 3A program, since his freshman season. Last year, he made four field goals (with a long of 49 yards) and 16 PATs while also averaging 40.6 yards per punt. Of his 22 kickoffs last season, 16 went for touchbacks.
