It's the final weekend of regular-season games for many high schools while playoffs begin in a few classes. - Brent Briggeman, The Gazette
1A PLAYOFFS (ROUND OF 16) No. 9 CSCS (6-3) at No. 8 Burlington (6-3), 1 p.m. Saturday: The Kenney twins (Dan and Jim, who have had a hand in 25 of the team’s 31 offensive touchowns) lead CSCS against a Burlington team riding a five-game winning streak in which it has outscored opponents 207-33. The winner gets the satisfaction of winning a playoff game, but it also likely gets the right to play top-seeded Buena Vista, which manhandled the Lions 40-6 two weeks ago.
