Kent Denver ends skid against Florence with a 41-6 blowout

CHERRY HILLS VILLAGE • That blue and yellow elephant in the Kent Denver locker room is gone.

To say the Florence Huskies have had Kent’s number for the past few seasons would be a massive understatement.

On Friday at Justin DeSorrento Memorial Field, the memories of three straight losses in this series over the past two seasons — including last season’s state semifinal — were erased courtesy of a 41-6 spanking of the top-ranked Huskies.
