THE GAZETTE

The Cheyenne Mountain boys' tennis team finished second to Kent Denver at the 4A state tournament in Pueblo after losing five of six division finals Saturday.

The No. 3 doubles team of Vincent Chow and Abe Yellen won 6-3, 6-2 to win the Indians' only championship match.

Cheyenne Mountain also had players in the finals at No. 2 and No. 3 singles and No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4 doubles but fell to Kent Denver in all of those matches. That pushed Kent (76 points) past the Indians (63) for the team title.

Lewis-Palmer senior Aidan Reid lost in the No. 1 singles championship match in straight sets.
