Carmody fills new prep reporter position
In a continuing effort to improve and expand our content, The Gazette has hired Kevin Carmody as a full-time high school sports reporter effective this week in the new position to work with the prep editor.
Carmody has more than 17 years of experience in the media field and has worked part-time for The Gazette’s sports department (and others) since 2008 as a freelance writer (largely in high schools), statistics expert and copy editor.
He is a 12-year resident of Colorado Springs and is very familiar with our myriad area high schools and their traditions, their personalities, their successes and their rivalries.
The Gazette looks forward to adding Carmody to the staff and to the increased and improved content he will help us provide on high school sports and other topics.
